Razee
is from the repeat Gino x Sailor litter, and was born
February 1, 2006.
She touched our hearts with her special
attitude from the day she was born, and immediately let everyone know she was the “Top Dog”
in her litter. What
a smart, inquisitive, spunky and charming little lady she is! We
see so much of her mom Sailor in her and instantly fell in
love with this wonderful little lady.
Razee is loved, trained, played with by Royce and Dee
Dee Rose of Topeka, Kansas. I feel so fortunate that
Razee lives in a home that is giving her an opportunity to fulfill
her potential in a variety of venues – obedience, agility
and tracking. If you were to ask Razee, she would definitely
tell you that she has both Royce and Dee Dee wrapped around
her paw!
The call name "Razee" is an old world type of
sailing craft which had one deck cut down for speed, and what
an apt name that is proving to be. Royce and Dee Dee
report that Razee is a fast learner and a very biddable worker
no matter the venue.
Razee has started her tracking training with hard surfaces and
what a fast little tracking craft she is. From
the time Royce puts on her tracking harness, she just hits
that track and it is nose down all the way for this little
girl.
We are proud to announce that Razee earned her TD title with
Royce on March 25, 2007 at the Cornhusker Kennel Club of Lincoln, Nebraska.
At only 13 months of age, Razee completed a tough 480 yard
course with 4 turns in 8 minutes under judges Carol Pernicka and Jerry Lewis.
In spite of a morning rain and thunderstorm, extremely strong winds of 25-30 m.p.h., and a fall
by Royce in the rugged terrain, Razee kept her focus and
completed the track flawlessly. She was the only dog to
earn her TD at this event. The testing site was
Raymond, Nebraska.
Royce has started Razee in agility --
very low contact obstacles, tunnels and wide open channel weave
poles. All of which she loves. Her favorite obstacles? Tunnels
and weave poles!
After attending the 2006 Golden Retriever National and seeing so
many beautiful Golden Retrievers, Royce and Dee Dee decided
to step outside of the performance box for fun and take Razee
to a Sanctioned Conformation Match. With competition,
our little Razee won her six to nine month old class, took
BOB and then went on to take a Sporting Group One – all
owner-handled by Dee Dee.
In addition to her busy training schedule, Razee also takes
time out to attend obedience seminars held by Dee Dee as the
puppy “demo” dog. As serious performance
competitors, Royce and Dee Dee report that friends have nicknamed
Razee “Marilyn” because of her beautiful blonde
coloring. This little gal is not only showing everyone
that blondes can have more fun, they can also excel in a variety
of venues.
As a breeder, I am delighted that my puppies are excelling
in so many areas. Razee exemplifies everything
you hope for when planning a litter. A great companion,
with a wonderful personality, who loves to work and thoroughly
enjoys competing in many areas of performance. Best of
all, Razee stole Royce’s heart the day she met him!
